The inspiration for Alpyn Beauty comes from the ethereal pink cast at sunrise and sunset in the mountains, meadows, forests, and valleys of Jackson Hole, Wyoming– the alpenglow. The plants harvested and used in each product are some of the most resilient botanicals, surviving the harshest climates in the world! Alpyn Beauty’s Willow & Sweet Agave Plumping Lip Mask went viral on TikTok, so I decided to try the whole line and investigate the hype. Read below for my Alpyn Beauty Skincare Review!
Alpyn Beauty Founder
I had the pleasure of meeting Alpyn Beauty founder Kendra Kolb Butler at a green beauty event in Los Angeles this summer! Butler founded Alpyn Beauty after working in the beauty industry for twenty years! She got burnt out living in the big city and moved her family from NYC to her hometown of Jackson Hole. She is such an enthusiastic woman and SO knowledgeable about skincare and ingredients!
Alpyn Beauty Skincare Review: Cleanser
One of my favorite Alpyn Beauty skincare products is their Creamy Bubbling Cleanser. It has a jelly texture that suds up slightly. The scent is also really refreshing, a lovely citrusy grapefruit. What I love most about this cleanser is that it effectively removes oil and makeup without stripping my skin. It doesn’t leave a residue, which is essential to me. The cleanser also has fruit enzymes & AHA’s in its ingredient deck, which are supposed to exfoliate gently. I love myself a good glycolic or AHA treatment, but I wouldn’t seek out this cleanser specifically for that purpose. I prefer something a little longer wearing on the skin, like the Juice Beauty Green Apple Mask Sensitive, to get the effects of a glycolic/AHA. Speaking of this product as a cleanser, it is fab!
Wild Nettle & Niacinamide Firming Serum
Alpyn Beauty has two serums, the Bearberry & Vitamin C Glow Serum and the Wild Nettle & Niacinamide Firming Serum. My favorite is the Wild Nettle and Niacinamide Serum. I like the texture more. It’s lighter weight and absorbs quickly. It has my favorite serum base of aloe and glycerin, and niacinamide and hyaluronic acid soothe inflammation and provide hydration. This one doesn’t have much of a scent to it.
Alpyn Beauty Skincare Review: Bearberry & Vitamin C Glow Serum
The Alpyn Beauty Bearberry & Vitamin C Glow Serum, formerly known as the Plant Survival Serum, is formulated with Vitamin C for brightening, bakuchiol which promotes firmness, and AHAs that exfoliate to resurface. This serum smells fruity and citrus-like. I’m not fond of this serum because the ingredient profile is too complex and could cause irritation. Also, Mica is pretty high on the ingredients list. Mica is a reflective crystal typically used in makeup. It gives the skin a blurred effect, it is often seen in highlighters. I don’t love to see Mica in skincare products because it can give a false sense that the product is providing great glowing results, but it’s from the mica, not the skin changing.
Alpyn Beauty Wild Huckleberry 8-Acid Polishing Peel
The Alpyn Beauty Wild Huckleberry 8-Acid Polishing Peel uses physical and chemical exfoliating ingredients. As the name says, the chemical exfoliant uses 8 AHAs and BHAs to exfoliate the skin chemically. Bamboo and berry seeds are used as the peel’s physical exfoliant. This product is very intensive, and I would not recommend it for sensitive skin. I prefer a gentler exfoliant, but I can see where other people prefer a more refreshing polishing peel like this.

Triple Vitamin C Brightening Bounce Cream Moisturizer
One of my favorite Alpyn Beauty skincare products is their Vitamin C Bounce Cream Moisturizer. My favorite pairing combo is this moisturizer, along with the Firming Serum. They are so watery and juicy that they layer with each other so nicely, without pilling, and leave the skin hydrated. The Bounce Cream Moisturizer has an interesting texture that bounces like jello, but it applies smoothly to the skin. It has a lovely, light citrus scent, which is Alpyn Beauty’s signature.
Alpyn Beauty PlantGenius® Melt Moisturizer
The Melt Moisturizer is a bit too thick for my liking. I prefer the Bounce Cream to the Melt Moisturizer because it is lighter. I said what I said. This is my Alpyn Beauty Skincare Review! It would be great for colder, drier months or climates of the like, but I like the Bounce Cream because it is more watery and absorbent. The Melt Moisturizer does have an excellent ingredient profile: squalane, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and bakuchiol. It’s thick and moisturizing, with Alypn’s signature fragrance, if that is what floats your boat!

Alpyn Beauty Skincare Review: Eye Balm
The Eye Balm has a thick, creamy consistency, similar to the Melt Moisturizer. It’s not a fave of mine. I prefer something that is more watery, aloe-based, and absorbent. I have found that this balm sits on my undereye region and is too thick to absorb. There has been a bit of hype on this green beauty undereye cream on social media. I think that people like it because the Mica in the formulation gives an immediate brightening effect to the eye region. Like with the Glow Serum, I find that Mica is a cosmetic fix and does not provide any skincare benefits. Suppose you love this, great! But I’ll stick with my Indie Lee Eye Serum.
Alpyn Beauty Willow & Sweet Agave Plumping Lip Mask
Alpyn Beauty’s Plumping Lip Mask is an AWESOME clean replacement for the Laneige Lip Sleep Mask! The Plumping Mask went viral on Tik Tok this year, and I’m not surprised. It is a thick mask that moisturizes and leaves lips smooth and soft. The texture of this mask is thicker than a balm and feels similar to petroleum jelly. The scent is light and fruity. I like the ingredient deck, too: hyaluronic acid, agave extract, willow bark, and Vitamin E. I highly recommend this mask and think it is a dupe for conventional Sephora products!
Alpyn Beauty Skincare Review Conclusion
The products that I most recommend from Alpyn Beauty are the Vitamin C Bounce Cream, Plumping Lip Mask, Creamy Bubbling Cleanser, and Niacinamide Firming Serum. I love the branding of the products as well. The pink shade of each product is on brand with the alpenglow effect that inspired the line. I’m excited to see what other products Alpyn Beauty launches.
