True Botanicals

Sharing is caring!

There has been much social media buzz about green skincare darling, True Botanicals. A few of their biggest supporters include Laura Dern, Olivia Wilde, Brooke Shields, and Logan Browning. After hearing so much about them and being targeted by their Facebook ads, I decided to give the line a try! I was skeptical, as the line has a more “mature” branding approach than the light, airy millennial-centered lines that I usually try. I was shocked at how much my skin loves their formulations! Below, I share my True Botanicals Review after using the products for six weeks on my normal/combo skin.

Reagan’s True Botanicals Review of 2022

I try quite a bit of skincare, and I run a small skincare line; so I am super picky about the products that I put on the shelf in my bathroom, and not everything makes the cut for content review. I decided to give True Botanicals a try because I was interested in their Vitamin C Booster. I love the idea of a Vitamin C powder that can be added to serums or moisturizers. Vitamin C is very sensitive to the elements in liquid form and breaks down quickly. It stays more stable in powder form. I learned about their other products and decided to try their Vitamin A Booster, Chebula Active Immunity Serum, Pacific Glacial Clay, and more!

Chebula Active Immunity Serum

1. Chebula Active Immunity Serum

This is a fantastic serum. I’m going to fangirl about the base for a second because it is SOOO damn good. All of the base ingredients are incredibly hydrating and organic, including Green Tea Leaf Extract, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Neroli Flower Distillate, and Glycerin. The active ingredient in this serum is Chebula.

True Botanicals Chebula

I like to think of antioxidants as proactive ingredients. Antioxidants help with sunspots and help to prevent skin damage caused by the environment. I get instant plumping effects with this! I am almost empty of it and will be so sad when I’m out, and I will repurchase it! Shop the serum HERE!

Please Note: Chebula has been used for thousands of years in Indian culture through Ayurveda. True Botanicals claims that it “is one of the first brands in the world” to use this ingredient which is not true. Many brands have used this ingredient, and it is not new to the skincare and wellness realm.

True Botanicals Vitamin C Booster

2. Vitamin C Booster

The product I was most excited to try is the Vitamin C Booster. I mixed it with the Chebula Active Immunity Serum and applied it to my skin every evening before bed.

True Botanicals Vitamin C Booster

I like that this booster is in powder form. It’s easy to use and stays potent for longer. Another ingredient that isn’t highlighted but included in the booster’s composition is Ferulic Acid. This acid is a booster of Vitamin C, a plant-based antioxidant itself. It helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots too! Find the Vitamin C Booster HERE!

True Botanicals Vitamin A Booster

3. Vitamin A Booster

I’ve always been skeptical of “natural retinol.” I was an avid user of Differin in my teen years, so I know what the real stuff is like. I was intrigued by the True Botanicals Vitamin A Booster because it is packaged in capsule form, which helps maintain the Vitamin A potency. The three active ingredients in this Vitamin A Booster are carrot root extract (Vitamin A), buriti fruit oil (Vitamin E), and amaranth (Vitamin A & E).

I have liked this booster! I mix it with the serum and use it during the day. My skin has been glowing, and I have gotten many compliments from friends. The combination of Chebula Serum and Vitamin A Booster in the morning and Chebula Serum and Vitamin C Booster in the evening have brought my skin back to life. Find the Vitamin A Booser HERE!

True Botanicals Chebula Extreme Cream

4. Chebula Extreme Cream

I wasn’t expecting much from this cream. I’ve tried hundreds in my thirty years, so nothing cream-wise impresses me. The Chebula Extreme Cream shocked me. These days, like the kids, would say, “it’s the texture for me.” The texture of the Chebula Extreme Cream is like nothing I’ve ever tried. I thought this would be too heavy for me to use, but I was shocked by how light and whipped the Extreme Cream is!

Chebula Extreme Skin

The base of this cream is similar to the Chebula Serum, with organic aloe and glycerin, but other base ingredients include organic green tea leaf extract and mango seed butter. The Extreme Cream also has hyaluronic acid and Chebula in it. This cream is great for adding hydration back to the skin, and I have been impressed! Find True Botanicals Chebula Extreme Cream HERE!

Please Note: Chebula has been used for thousands of years in Indian culture through Ayurveda. True Botanicals claims that it “is one of the first brands in the world” to use this ingredient which is not true. Many brands have used this ingredient, and it is not new to the skincare and wellness realm.

Resurrection Radiance Eye Cream

5. Resurrection Radiance Eye Cream

I’m super picky when it comes to under-eye products. I typically prefer serums that are more aloey in based. Think Indie Lee I Waken Eye Serum or Arcona Peptide Eye Serum. I was hesitant to try the Radiance Eye Cream because it has a thicker, creamier consistency. I am milia prone, and heavy waxes in many eye creams have led me to small bumps in my under-eye region. Not this, though!

Resurrection Eye Cream

The base of this eye cream is aloe water and glycerin, so it absorbs into the under-eye region quickly. Various organic seed oils seal moisture into the under-eye area as well. I was impressed with the texture, and I have gotten no milia from using this light under eye cream! Find the Resurrection Eye Cream HERE!

Pacific Glacial Clay Detoxifying Mask

6. Pacific Glacial Clay Detoxifying Mask

I am wary of detox clay masks. I’ve tried too many that have dried the HELL out of my skin. The Pacific Glacial Clay Detoxifying Mask is different. Glacial Clay is not dry like other skincare clays on the market. It is moisturizing! This mask also has plant-based squalane in its base, so it is detoxing without depleting the skin of moisture.

True Botanicals Glacial Clay Mask

I have liked this mask, and it doesn’t dry down and crack; unlike so many clay masks, it feels soft on the skin. I like that this mask is packaged in a small container as well. It makes sense as the mask is only to be used a few times a week, while other products in the line are used daily or twice a day. Find the Pacific Glacial Clay Mask HERE!

True Botanicals Boob Cream

7. True Botanicals Boob Cream

The True Botanicals Boob Cream is one of my favorite body products from the line. The smell, a mix of Ylang Ylang, Neroli, and Frankincense, is intoxicating. The texture is more like an emulsion between light weight, absorbent serum, and cream. I think it is most similar to yogurt in feeling. It smells incredible and leaves my chest so hydrated!

Pure Radiance Body Butter

8. True Botanicals Pure Radiance Body Butter

The Pure Radiance Body Butter is a little heavier in texture than the Boob Cream. It contains a higher concentration of shea butter. This body butter does absorb into the skin nicely, and it is a bit more moisturizing, with more oils in it. It also has a more spicy and woodsy scent; think cedarwood and sandalwood.

True Botanicals Pure Radiance Body Butter

I like this Body Butter, but it wouldn’t be my first re-purchase from True Botanicals body care. I like the serum-like texture and scent of the Boob Cream more. Find the Body Butter HERE!

Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub

9. True Botanicals Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub

I have been impressed with the Radiance Sugar Scrub by True Botanicals. It has an excellent grainy formulation that dissolves in water. The oily base that binds the organic sugar exfoliant is not sticky or slimy. I have tried too many scrubs where the base leaves my skin feeling heavy or sticky. This scrub doesn’t do that!

Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub

The scent of this scrub is similar to the smell of the Pure Radiance Body Butter, spicy and woodsy. A duo is available on the True Botanicals website to purchase both and get a discount. Worth checking out if you like deeper scents. Find the Body Butter HERE!

  1. […] I like the whipped, rich texture of the Sanctuary Butter, one of EvanHealy’s newer moisturizers. Due to the whipped consistency, this cream is not as heavy as most Shea Butter-based moisturizers. I found it to be somewhat airy and absorbent! The base of this cream is Shea Butter, Rosehip Seed Oil, Olive Oil, and Argan Oil. I don’t like to claim dupes, but I think this is a more affordable option than the True Botanicals Chebula Extreme Cream.  […]
