Honesty time, I was skeptical when I opened the August 2021 Beauty Heroes Box. The box contained three products from a brand I had not heard much about, Ingredients. The products in this month’s box include the Ingredients Face Serum, Ingredients Plant Water Mist, and Ingredients Body Oil. The packaging was different from others I have seen in the green beauty realm using minimalistic white bottles with black and green text. The front of the bottle has the ingredients (punny right ;-)) listed from highest concentration to lowest.
Beauty Heroes August 2021 Hero Product: Plant Water Mist
This month’s Hero product is the Plant Water Mist (Retail $38). This hydrating mist contains floral hydrosols from rose, neroli, and lavender, along with probiotics. The Plant Water Mist comes in a non-hazardous aerosol tube, and the mister is so light and refreshing! I have really liked using this as the summer in San Jose has not been so kind heat-wise… I have been spraying this on my face throughout the day, when I need a pick me up. This mist is also great after a hot bath for revitalizing.
Sidekick I: Ingredients Face Serum
The first Sidekick in this month’s box is the Ingredients Face Serum (Retail $48). I have loved this aloey serum! The base is rose hydrosol, probiotics, calendula extract, vegetable collagen, aspen bark extract, rose essential oil, aloe, and mushroom. The blend of these ingredients adds moisture and improves skin hydration. This is my favorite product from the box. My skin is so dewy and youthful after applying it!
Sidekick II: Body Oil
The second Sidekick is the Ingredients Body Oil (Retail $42). The base oil in this body product is jojoba, my favorite oil, as it mimics the skin’s natural sebum. Two minor oils are baobab oil and copaiba oil. The scent is light and fresh, containing orange, vanilla, lavender, and rosemary essential oil. This is a great body oil as it absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave the body greasy.
After using Ingredients products for the last few weeks, my skepticism faded. I love the products that I’ve tried from this brand! It’s so great that they are so transparent about the ingredients they use.
