Nature of Things is a new beauty and wellness brand with beautiful glass packaging. The brand is captivating because of its unique, stone-looking vials and jars. I had the chance to try six products from this new luxury line. Read on for a Nature of Things skincare review.
The Nature of Things line started with body care and recently launched products into the skincare realm. The first time I saw their beautiful products, I was at the Beauty Heroes store in Novato. I was immediately drawn to their packaging because of the simple design and neutral color story– I knew I needed to get their products into my bathroom!
My interest began to peak when I discovered that the founders took a holistic, wellness-based approach to the formulation and design of the brand. All products have roots, inspiration, and a base in nature. Nature of Things does not market itself as a CBD line, but its products are make with this hot ingredient. The founders have applauded CBD for its ability to help ease pain and soothe sensitive skin. Below is a Nature of Things Skincare Review where I share my thoughts on formulations, ingredients, and effectiveness.
“So that’s what we sought out to do with our line by incorporating naturally derived, safe ingredients proven to help ease stress, anxiety, pain and inflammation while calming the mind and beautifying the skin.” — Nature of Things Founders on Shen Beauty
Nature of Thing Wellness Products
“Nature of Things is a modern wellness house rooted in the enduring wisdom of nature. We believe that healthy is harmony. It’s the synchronicity of body, mind, and the natural world. Our ingredients come from the Earth — plants, minerals, and elements. Our formulas are equal parts curative and preventive, designed to give you a good today and even better tomorrow.” — Nature of Things Founders on Shen Beauty
Nature of Things began as a wellness-based body care brand with a three-category approach: total body absorption, topical treatments, and ingestible powders. Their first releases were their Restorative Floral Bath, Nourishing Body Cream, and Cleansing Body & Scalp Polish.
Nature of Things Restorative Floral Bath
One of the most hyped Nature of Things products is their Restorative Floral Bath; this is not your typical artificial fragrance bubble bath but a milky bath with shea butter and a green tea oil base. The sweet floral scent comes from a blend of plumeria, jasmine, and vetiver. This bath soak feels like forest bathing in a field of wildflowers because of the base blend of cedarwood, hemp, hops, malachite, and rose quartz.
I am a HUGE bath lover, and I have loved this bath soak. It smells incredible and leaves my skin feeling soft and supple after use. I don’t need to use body cream, lotion, or oil after bath as the soak has infused various seed oils into my skin. I’m rather lazy, and it eases my mind to know that one extra step is taken out of my self-care routine. After using this multiple times, I see why so many people are fans of this bath product.

Nature of Things Nourishing Body Cream
I have been very happy with the Nourishing Body Cream! The formulation is cushiony and absorbs into the skin without leaving it greasy or heavy feeling. The nourishing formulations also target inflammation and irritation. Many have claimed that this cream has a citrus scent, but I beg to differ. It smells a little more florally and fresh.
I have been happy with this body cream because it doesn’t leave a soapy residue. This may sound a bit too descriptive, but I have tried many products that are too heavy and do not absorb into the skin. I have also tried “cream” products that are too oily and leave stains on your clothes, and this cream DOES NOT do that! My skin feels well hydrated after using, with a lingering fresh scent.

Nature of Things Cleansing Body & Scalp Polish
The last Nature of Things body product I have been using is the Cleansing Body & Scalp Polish. This may be no shocker, as I have raved about the bath and cream products above, but I like this exfoliant. It emulsifies and does not clump into one section of the hair when used as a scalp scrub. It’s easy to coat the entire scalp surface and get in there to lift dead skin and dried product. This Body & Scalp Polish formulation includes Moroccan lava clay to draw out dirt and debris and smells like smokey cinnamon. I view this scrub as a pre-shampooing exfoliant.

Nature of Things Skincare Review
The skincare line by Nature of Things was recently launched, and I got the opportunity to try three of the products! This Nature of Things Skincare Review includes: Balancing Facial Essence, Clarifying Facial Polish, and the Rejuvenating Overnight Facial Mask.
Nature of Things Skincare Review: Balancing Facial Essence
When I first was reading about the Nature of Things Essence, I thought it would be more watery, like a toner. I was ecstatic to discover that this essence is more serum-like and has a thick jelly aloe and glycerin base! It leaves my skin dewy and hydrated. The formulation is a fusion of East-meets-West Swiss Apple Stem-Cells that protect against free radicals and Korean seaweed and mallow extract to combat redness and hyperpigmentation. The essence smells very similar to the Nourishing Body Cream— fresh. If you have been curious about this, be aware of the texture.

Nature of Things Clarifying Facial Polish
Next is my least favorite product, The Clarifying Facial Polish. I am not fangirling over this product like the previous few because it has a powerful eucalyptus scent. I love eucalyptus for body products, but not so much in the skincare realm. It claims to be a gentle exfoliant that needs a bit of water to create a paste to detox your sins through exfoliation. I have used it, and I prefer chemical exfoliants and other non-abrasive means to dislodge clogged pores.

Nature of Things Skincare Review: Rejuvenating Overnight Facial Mask
Finally, my favorite product from Nature of Things Skincare is the Overnight Mask. It has a unique texture. Most overnight masks are thick creams, but this guy is a rich jelly! The base is water and glycerin, which absorb quickly into the skin. Active ingredients include pineapple extract and vitamin c. This Vitamin c comes from Kakadu plum (one of the potent vitamin c forms) and brightens and firms skin. Pineapple extract removes dead skin cells. My skin looks so dewy and fresh the morning after I use this. I will repurchase!

Conclusion
In conclusion, I would recommend the Nature of Things line to anyone looking for luxury CBD-infused products. I was most impressed with the Floral Bath and Overnight Mask. The Essence, Scalp Scrub, and Body Cream are all lovely products too. I wouldn’t recommend the Facial Polish as it has a very strong scent that may irritate skin. Let me know if you have tried Nature of Things and what your favorite product is!
