The benefits of Tata Harper Superkind are incredible for those of us who have skin that has been stressed out by the environment or other internal factors. I was thrilled to try this line as I have enjoyed Harper’s various cleansers and hydrating mists. Below I’m sharing my thoughts on three Tata Harper Superkind products!
Tata Harper is one of the most well-known names in green beauty. Tata Harper Skincare is available at Credo, Sephora, Aillea, Integrity Botanicals, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and other retailers. Harper’s line was one of the first luxury green skincare lines. When I discovered green beauty I struggled to find a luxury skincare line that I could recommend to my mom, who exclusively used Guerlain and Lancôme. Then, I started working at The Rosewood Sandhill Spa.
The spa carried Tata Harper and also offered a facial using the eco-luxe line. I purchased various Tata Harper cleansers and hydrating mists during this time, and I was super impressed! The green bottles were gorgeous and I loved the unique floral/herbal scents. I had the chance to meet Tata Harper at a Credo Beauty event, where I discovered my FAVORITE cleanser, the Clarifying Cleanser. The Clarifying Cleanser is a gel cleanser that suds up with a bit of water. The cleanser smells like herbs and mint, and leaves the skin feeling refreshed and a bit tingly. The only problem with this cleanser is that it is not for those with sensitive skin. That’s why I was thrilled when they released their Superkind line of skincare for those with reactive skin. Read on to hear my thoughts on all of the products from the Tata Harper Superkind line.
Benefits of Tata Harper Superkind
The difference between sensitive and sensitized skin comes down to genetics versus external factors. Sensitive skin cannot change, it can be managed and soothed, but that is about as far as treatments and skincare can help. Psoriasis, eczema, and rosacea are all conditions that those with sensitive skin can suffer from medically. On the other hand, sensitized skin is triggered by external or internal environmental factors. Internal triggers for sensitized skin include food, stress, and allergies. External factors that trigger sensitization are pollution, dust, smoke, and dander. Sensitized skin can be nourished back to balance, and sensitive skin cannot. Tata Harper Sensitive Skincare Line
The Tata Harper Superkind Line includes Tata Harper Softening Cleanser, Tata Harper Fortifying Moisturizer, and Tata Harper Radiance Mask. The Tata Harper website claims that these three products are “Reactive Skin Essentials” and are free from nuts, wheat, gluten, soy, fragrance, essential oils, sulfates, harsh exfoliants, and Beta Hydroxy Acid. There is a light scent to these products, even products that don’t use fragrances or essential oils will smell like something! I’d say that they have a bit of a watered-down floral scent. It is nearly impossible to find clean skincare without essential oils or fragrances, so I was excited when this line for sensitized skin launched. Harper said of the new Superkind Line in a Byrdie interview:
“Superkind was inspired by conversations I was having with friends,” Harper shared. “The modern environment we live in is making skin more reaction-prone, and this collection was formulated specifically for both sensitive and sensitized skin.”
Tata Harper Superkind Moisturizer Review
The Tata Harper Fortifying Moisturizer is my favorite product in the Superkind line. I love the lightweight texture, it is a little thicker than a gel serum. The texture makes this guy a fantastic summertime moisturizer, even if you do not have sensitive skin. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave the skin oily or dewy. It is thick enough to moisturize but thin enough to allow the skin to breathe. Once absorbed into the skin, this moisturizer has a satin-like finish.
Key Ingredients: Calendula Officinalis Juice, Shea Butter, Polysaccharides, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, and Lactic Acid
The Fortifying Moisturizer is rather pricey — $120 for 1.7 ounces (50 mLs.) The key ingredients are very nourishing and hydrating, with the formulation containing 28 ingredients overall. The packaging comes in a gorgeous light green glass bottle with a gold pump and lid. Tata Harper’s packaging has always been eye-catching, and she continued the theme with the Superkind line.
Final Thoughts: Yes, this is an expensive product. That said, the lightweight texture, finish, and calming ingredients are worth it to me!

Tata Harper Softening Cleanser
Tata Harper claims this is a “cleansing treatment,” AKA not your grandma’s face wash. The formulation supports and reinforces the skin’s PH barrier. I have enjoyed the Superkind Softening Cleanser, it has a unique formulation. I have loved that the formulation is an emulsion, something that I haven’t seen in the world of cleansers. It is a thick, rich cream that emulsifies with water. This cleanser is rich in moisturizing ingredients, so my skin is left clean and hydrated instead of dry and stripped.
Key Ingredients: Jojoba Esters, Castor Seed Oil, Calendula, Chamomile, and Maracuja Seed Oil.
All of Tata Harper’s products have a luxury price-point, and their cleansers have the most value, in my opinion, because they include quite a bit of product– 4.2 ounces (125 mLs.) I don’t have many cons with this cleanser. It isn’t my favorite from the line, though. I have tried quite a few sensitive skin cleansers in the organic skincare realm, and this one isn’t super special to me. If I spend the money on a bougie cleaner, I will go for the Tata Harper Clarifying Cleanser. *I want to be clear that the Clarifying Cleanser is NOT for sensitive skin. It is my favorite, though, because of the scent, texture, and overall product experience.
Final Thoughts: If you are looking for a fancy Cetaphil, you will love this. It does have a super unique formulation, creamy and emulsifying. That said, I’d instead put my money towards the Clarifying Cleanser.

Tata Harper Radiance Mask
Of the three Tata Harper Superkind products, the Radiance Mask is my least favorite. This mask has a weird, almost coconut oil-like texture, and it also looks like coconut oil in the jar. The comparison stops there. Once I scooped a bit out and rubbed it into my face, it felt more like a cream. I’m not fangirling over this mask because it doesn’t do anything for my skin. When I remove the mask with warm water, my skin does not look or feel any different.
Key Ingredients: Self-Neutralizing AHA Blend, White Kaolin Clay, Sugar Prebiotic, Sugar Carbohydrate Complex, Calendula Flower Bud, Diglycerin
The ingredients deck is decent, so I was expecting some amazing results from this mask. My skin has been feeling dry lately, and I decided to use this treatment a few times to see if it would help, and no such luck.
Final Thoughts: While this is the most affordable product from the Superkind line ($65 for 1 ounce, 30mL), I would say that it is a hard pass. Put your money towards the cleanser or moisturizer.
