It is officially summer in The Bay Area, and it is hot, hot, hot! For real, though, it was 95 degrees today, and I was sweating up a storm. With this heat and sweat comes the need to replenish the skin. The Hero: Blüh Alchemy Nocturnal Repair Active Emulsion
The Hero product from the Blüh Alchemy Box by Beauty Heroes is a brand new product release! The Nocturnal Repair Active Emulsion (Retail Price: $85) is an overnight treatment mask that replenishes, improves elasticity, and seals moisture. My favorite ingredient in this mask is Chebula. Chebula aids the skin in the breakdown of collagen during the glycation process. This is when glucose clings to collagen and elastin proteins in the skin, causing cellular breakdown. Chebula stops this process in its tracks!
I love that this product has an aloe base, so it’s not heavy or greasy, but instead, really light and absorbent. This emulsion is not fragranced with essential oils (which I know is a no-go for many) and has an herbal scent from the yummy, skin-loving ingredients!
The Sidekick: Blüh Alchemy Antioxidant Face Oil
This month’s Sidekick product is the Antioxidant Face Oil (Retail Price: $95). This oil compliments the emulsion as it is light enough to be worn during the day to protect skin from harsh pollutants and other environmental elements. Kakadu plum oil is one of the most potent natural Vitamin C ingredients out there, and it is high up on this oil’s ingredient deck. I also love to see Jojoba oil as the base for any skincare oil, as it mimics the skin’s natural sebum.
This oil is super luxurious and has an herbal/floral scent– rose geranium and lavender are two herbs I can pick out directly.

Lovinah Goddess Glow Luxury Shimmering Body Serum
I was blown away by the scent of this. It smells so tropical and warm, reminding me of my childhood. I was also impressed with the formulation. It is an emulsion that absorbs into the skin quickly, leaving a hint of shimmer. The nutrient-rich base of this body serum contains Jojoba, Baobab, Sesame, Argan, and Moringa oils to soften the skin.
Lovinah Power Vitamin C Multi-Purpose Cleansing Balm
One of my favorite Lovinah Beauty products is their Dragon’s Blood Vitamin C Cleansing Oil. I was a little hesitant to try this cleansing balm as I LOVE the former SO much. I was so happy to discover that the balm lives up to the same hype as the oil! It is a balm to oil to milk cleanser, meaning that when I warm it between my hands, it turns to oil, and when I add water to it, it turns to a milky consistency and rinses clean! I love any oil or balm that rinses clean. This balm has a similar scent to the oil, which is fruity.
Lovinah Blue Butterfly Plant Stem Cell Deep Hydration Mask
One of the most popular Lovinah Beauty products is the Butterfly Mask. This mask is bright blue. The color comes from Blue Neela clay from Morocco and antioxidant-rich Blue Spirulina. It gets its Butterfly name from Butterfly Pea Extract– the more you know! This mask is refining and hydrating, and it smells like vanilla pudding to me.
