The August Boxwalla Beauty Box features products from the cult-British brand, Votary. I have tried quite a few products from Votary, and I have enjoyed their Super Seed Serum. I was happy to see two products I have not tested in this month’s box, the Brightening Hyaluronic Serum and the Intense Overnight Mask.
Votary Brightening Hyaluronic Serum
This serum is equal parts hydrating and brightening. I have LOVED the Brightening Hyaluronic Serum (Retail Price $118) because it has hyaluronic acid in it, as well as AHA Glycolic Acid. The hyaluronic acid aids in hydration while the AHA gently exfoliates the skin. This base is different from other serums I have tried as it uses floral and citrus waters, along with glycerin for that slick jelly feel. This serum has a light, neroli scent that I love! This serum seems simple, but it is so efficacious! My skin is glowing and plump, and I have noticed my hyper-pigmentation has evened out.
Votary Intense Overnight Mask Boxwalla Beauty Box
Honesty time, this Overnight Mask is a bit out of place in a summer subscription beauty box. It is very thick on the skin and doesn’t absorb that great. I think it would be great in the summer, so I am setting it aside until the cooler, dryer months. This mask has a creamy base of aloe vera, glycerin, and coconut derivatives. Votary is known for its plant-based oils, and this creamy mask is packed with them, including rosehip, camu camu, tomato, avocado, and apricot oils. I will update you all later in the year if my skin likes the Intense Overnight Mask (Retail Price $136) under different conditions.
I have loved Votary’s line of skincare. My skin reacts very well to their serums. If you are interested in checking out this beauty box, shop it here. The value of this box is unbeatable! They have a one-time box option, along with various subscription models.
